 Manos Unidas Scholarship Program

Many students that attend Camino Nuevo are not able to pay full tuition ($50/month). The pre-requisite for admission is dedicated parents willing to invest in an affordable tuition for quality education. Manos Unidas funds directly support scholarships for our students. In 2009 72% of our students benefitted from our scholarship program, 5% of them received full scholarships. We hope to be able to support more families in 2010. Here is how your donation can help:

·         $20 will purchase a year of school supplies for a Camino Nuevo student

·         $50 will sponsor a full monthly scholarship to attend Camino Nuevo for a child in extreme need for the 2010 school year

·         $100 will equip an entire classroom with: books, crayons, pencils, paper, chalk, learning materials, puzzles,  notebooks and craft materials

·         $250 will sponsor a partial scholarship to attend Camino Nuevo for a child* in need for the 2010 school year

·         $500 will sponsor a full scholarship to attend Camino Nuevo for a child* in extreme need for the 2010 school year

*Donors supporting scholarships for children in extreme need will receive information regarding the child they are supporting and their progress at Camino Nuevo

Item Donations

Materials are always needed at Camino Nuevo. If you live in the Seattle area, feel free to drop off item donations at the Manos Unidas stand on Sundays at the Fremont Sunday Market. If you or a friend are coming to Peru and would like to send things, please click on the link to see what materials are useful. A great way to support Manos Unidas is shopping at second hand thrift stores or cleaning out your kids closets and donating those items. Please do not send clothing.
